Lindsay Chard

B.A.

Clinical Associate

I am currently completing my Master of Psychology in Clinical and Counselling Psychology at Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto, with the goal of registering with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO). I am completing my practicum under the supervision of Dr. Kathy Smolewska, where I am involved in conducting psychoeducational and neuropsychological assessments.

I hold an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Brock University and have worked in a variety of mental health settings. I have supported individuals with PTSD, major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, and behavioural challenges, and I have experience working with youth facing emotional and behavioural difficulties. I have also contributed to research at Brock University’s Social Cognition, Relationships, and Methods Lab.

In addition to my academic background, I have hands-on experience with neuromodulation (a treatment that uses electrical signals or medications to change nerve activity and improve how you feel or function) as a neuromodulation technician, delivering treatments such as neurofeedback and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). These experiences have strengthened my appreciation for comprehensive, evidence-based approaches to understanding cognitive, emotional, and behavioural functioning. I am particularly interested in the role of psychoeducational and neuropsychological assessments in clarifying diagnoses, informing supports, and helping individuals better understand their unique strengths and needs.
