Sometimes families see that their child or teen could do even better with a little extra support. Occupational therapy is all about helping people learn and practice the skills they need for everyday life —whether at home, in school, or out in the community.

I work with infants, toddlers, children, and teens (and their families) to help learn new skills, find simpler ways to do everyday tasks, or make changes at home or school so things go more smoothly. In sessions, we work on development in areas such as movement, getting dressed, eating, using the bathroom, paying attention, and writing. We take small, comfortable steps together, always paying attention to what your child’s body and senses need, so they can feel confident and do their best.

If your child has ADHD or autism, we can work together on skills such as paying attention and concentration, dealing with loud sounds or weird textures, trying new foods, making friends, communicating (by talking or using other methods), and handling big emotions.

With over 26 years of experience at KidsAbility and in home care, I am dedicated to helping each child become more independent and confident by discovering strategies that truly work for them. I focus on understanding how each child experiences the world and work closely with families to create therapy plans that help their child thrive.

If you would like to better understand your child’s sensory needs and learn new ways to support them, I also offer Sensory Processing Assessments. These assessments look at how your child balances and their body awareness, as well as how they experience different textures, sights, tastes, smells, and sounds. This assessment helps identify any challenges or differences in how your child’s brain processes these senses, how this might affect their daily life, and guides us in finding the best ways to help them succeed in everyday activities.

If you have questions about your child’s development or want support with daily routines, I am here to help. Let’s work together to find real solutions and celebrate your child’s progress every step of the way. Please feel free to reach out—I look forward to being part of your family’s journey!
